ariadARIAD, a drug development company working on breakthrough medicines for cancer patients, recently lost an argument in front of the Court of Appeals on a patent infringement case against Eli Lilly.  ARIAD claimed that Eli Lilly was infringing upon their intellectual property in regards to the use of agents that affected the NF-kB pathway.  The case lasted seven years, ultimately resulting in the death of ARIAD’s patent.
