Yes, our baby aka ChubbyBrain is growing very fast - Andre the Giant fast.  Today, we’re happy to have crossed the 18,000 startup and 1800 investor profile marks.  On April 23, we crossed the 16,000 startup and 1500 investor marks and then on April 29, we crossed the 17,000 startup and 1600 investor thresholds.  We’re continuing to grow at a rapid pace because of our community of users which now includes numerous venture capitalists, angel investors, startup entrepreneurs and a whole host of people who just love the idea of democratizng startup and investor information and who see it as long overdue.  They are really helping us in ways that we’d never have imagined.

So first of all, thanks to all of you once again.  We expect that we’ll be crossing the 20,000 number quite soon (and of course 19,000 en route).  With this move past 18,000, we are also glad to say conclusively that we’re the largest freely available startup and investor database out there.  Democratizing startup and investor information has become a reality although we’re far from done.

Any gaps that you see in the data at present will be resolved shortly as we improve our underlying technology and of course with your continued help.  Expect some new features, partners, contributors and information in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, keep the contributions, suggestions and ideas coming.  As always, you can reach us at team(at)chubbybrain(dot)com.
