In our continuing efforts to democratize startup and investor information, we recently have added 300+ incubators to the ChubbyBrain platform.
We have categorized incubators as investors on ChubbyBrain, similar to the many angel investors and venture capitalists, you’ll find on our platform. While investments by incubators generally (not always) do not take the form of cash, they are investing in startups through their offering of in-kind services, facilities, and advisory/mentorship - hence them being taxonomized as investors.
The addition of these incubators and their portfolio companies is also important in that these incubators are fostering early-stage companies which may present themselves as investment opportunities for angel investor or venture capitalists.
We are the first to collect this much data about US incubators on a single organized information services platform. We look forward to providing additional analysis and commentary about these incubators over the coming weeks and months.
