We’re big fans of reality TV show Shark Tank. We’ve discussed whether Shark Tank’s TV pitch-fest is realistic and whether offers by the Sharks are binding, but now we’ve started analyzing Shark Tank’s investment results and actual offers by the actual sharks.
Although season two is still in progress, to-date, Mark Cuban has been the big spender when it comes to offers to invest averaging $150,000 across his three investment offers which is also the most investment offers. Kevin O’Leary and Daymond John also both have made three offers, but there average investment sizes are smaller than Mark Cuban’s coming in at about $128k and $111k respectively.
Cuban will undoubtedly fall from the most active roster given he’s not always on the show, but for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to pitch Shark Tank, you may want to wait for Mark Cuban to maximize the dollars you get.
