PATH - Company Description and Overview

Path is a social network app for the iPhone that lets users capture and share moments with a limited number of friends and families. The company was founded by David Morin (Dave), Shawn Fanning and Dustin Mierau. Morin was previously a Senior Platform Manager at Facebook, Fanning was the creator of Napster and Mierau the co-founder of Macster.

In February 2011, there were rumors that Google attempted to acquire the company for $100 million.
