Greylock Partners was founded in 1965 and is a private venture capital firm. As of 2010, it has committed capital of over $2 billion under management and has provided equity capital and support to over 300 growth companies. Of these companies, over 125 have became publicly held, and over 100 others have merged with other companies.

Greylock Partners aims to support a company's management team in building a world-class enterprise by becoming a member of the company's Board of Directors. This includes working to build a management team, facilitating relationships with other companies, helping to set a company's strategic direction, and raising additional capital both privately and publicly.

In November 2009, Greylock Partners announced the closing of Greylock XIII, a $575M fund; this fund will be used to invest in and support enterprise and consumer software, services and infrastructure ventures.
