Although based in London, Europe and focused mainly (but not exclusively) on investing there, Index is considered to have the investment philosophy of a typical Silicon Valley venture capitalist and to have strong business relations in Silicon Valley for a European investor.

Index's Fund Size
In January 2008, Index Ventures announced the closing of a Euro 400 million growth capital fund, Index Ventures Growth I, which represents the firm's first growth stage fund. In March 2009, Index Ventures announced the closing of a Euro 350 million early stage fund, Index Ventures V.
